PACKAGING
Eeken footwear is a recently launched range of casual footwear for men and women in India. As part of the overall branding exercise, the ask was to create product packaging that would be smart, practical and would stand out among 10s of other labels in multi-brand retail outlets.
This packaging for Eeken’s footwear range was a concept designed with the intention of creating packaging that is distinctive, identifiable and user-friendly for both salesman and customer. It also needed to be sustainable, in tune with the company’s eco-friendly vision.
Indian footwear retailers stack a lot of different brands together, leading to collective visual clutter.
Keeping this in mind, we designed a box that could be easily identifiable, using the primary colours of the brand and the main graphic, that of the logo mnemonic. The product numbers and sizes are displayed at the opening of the box for ease of access. The box opens from the side, so when stacked, it allows the retailer to open the box and remove the product easily, without having to remove the box from its stack.

A piece of rope is attached to the opening side of the box as a gripping handle, thus eliminating the need for an additional bag on purchase of the product.
